Good Seeds Yoga was founded in 2016 as in order to spread practices of mindfulness to children and their caregivers. Our mission is to engage children from all walks of life with creative approaches to yoga and meditation. We strive to form dynamic partnerships with educators, parents, caregivers ,and community leaders to offer support and guidance in creating space for children to flourish.
Yoga for Growth and Transformation
Good Seeds offers a unique program in that we take a holistic approach to yoga, beyond asana (poses). We firmly believe in the vital importance of not only building strength and coordination but engaging with creative expression, learning strategies for self-regulation, and exploring imaginative practices through art and guided relaxation.
We currently serve a variety of schools in the Chicagoland area, and we are always looking to grow! Good Seeds Yoga offers a range of programs for children that can be adapted in the classroom, after school, in sports and clubs, or through one to one yoga therapy.
To better serve the community, Good Seeds Yoga also offers trainings for adults who are interested in bringing mindfulness practices to the children in their lives. Educators, parents, and interested others can learn more about using mindful techniques that help children develop better self-regulation, increased concentration, skills for coping with anxiety, and much more.. These trainings draw upon Chelsea's decade of experience as a children’s yoga teacher and numerous other experiences working closely with children, including as a paraeducator.
